What is a health check?
A Health Check is a total overview of your Data file. Things we look at are:
- Bank Accounts or Credit Cards that don’t reconcile with the Statements
- Old un-presented transactions in the Bank Account or Credit Card
- Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors that don’t balance with the Balance Sheet
- Any Trade Debtors and Trade Creditors that aren’t “real”
- Incorrect previously lodged BAS’
- Payroll Categories that are incorrectly set up therefore giving you incorrect information on Payslips, incorrect Tax Tables, Superannuation calculations and Payment Summaries
- Ensuring all your allocations are correct. (assets, liabilities, equity, income, cost of sale & expenses)
- Ensuring your leases, hire purchase, and loans are all accounted for and set up correctly
- Check that GST has been allocated correctly so you are not missing out on any refunds, or incurring a huge debt to the ATO
- Check intercompany loans and personal loans balance with each other
